Country tavern

The tavern seen from outside.

The country tavern was a tavern in a village or town just outside of Paris, where Colonel Hans Landa brought Aldo Raine and Smithson Utivich to make a deal with the Allies that would end the war.

History

Chapter Five - REVENGE OF THE GIANT FACE

After Landa captured Aldo and Utivich, he loaded them into a truck and send them to an unknown location, where they were taken in a tavern where a German radio post was installed. Here, Landa has lt. Raine contact his OSS commanding officer and make a deal: in exchange for allowing Operation Kino to continue, he receives full immunity, US citizenship, financial security and apparently the Medal of Honor for himself and the rest of the members of the operation.

Trivia

• The place is located as being outside of Paris in the film script, but its location is left unknown in the film.
• The tavern is simply named "Taverne" ("tavern" in French) in the film, as seen written on the brick wall above its entrance and the board hanging near the door.
