The League of German Girls or League of German Maidens (German: Bund Deutscher Mädel or shortened BDM), was the girls' wing of the Nazi Party youth movement, the Hitler Youth. It was the only legal female youth organization in Nazi Germany.
In Inglourious Basterds[]
A trio of BDM girls can be seen in the Le Gamaar cinema lobby during the Stolz der Nation film premiere night. Frederick Zoller is seen giving them autographs at one point. They, like the rest of the crowd perished in the cinema fire after Marcel ignited the celluloid stash behind the projector screen and the Basterds' bombs detonated. It's possible a few were also hit by some of Donny and Omar's bullets when the duo fired at the panicked crowd from the auditorium.

- In the La Louisiane tavern from Nadine, there is a German female sergeant in the Wehrmacht. There were no female soldiers enrolled in the Third Reich, and the BDM was the only Nazi organization where girls could join. This only changed in the last days of the war, during the Battle of Berlin. Officially, this was not sanctioned by the BDM's leadership which opposed an armed use of its girls, even though some BDM leaders had received training in the use of hand-held weapons.
