Morphine syringe

The doc injecting some morphine.

Morphine (/ˈmɔrfiːn/; MS Contin, MSIR, Avinza, Kadian, Oramorph, Roxanol, Kapanol) is a potent opiate analgesic drug that is used to relieve severe pain. It was first isolated in 1804 by Friedrich Sertürner, which is generally believed to be the first ever isolation of a natural plant alkaloid in history.

In Inglourious BasterdsEdit

At the veterinary clinic, the veterinary gives some morphine to Bridget von Hammersmark, after she got shot in the leg, to ease the pain so he can extract the bullet from her leg. Later Aldo tells her that the doc "fill you up with morphine till it's coming out your ears" so that she will be able to enter the film premiere without feeling any pain from the gunshot.

Hermann Göring was addicted to morphine.
