Aldo Raine sniffs some tobacco

Aldo snuffs some tobacco.

Snuff is a smokeless tobacco made from ground or pulverised tobacco leaves.

Snuff is inhaled or "snuffed" into the nasal cavity (into each nostril), delivering a swift 'hit' of nicotine and a lasting flavoured scent (especially if flavouring has been blended with the tobacco).

Aldo Raine is seen snuffing grounded tobacco from a a German box, most likely looted from the dead soldiers, throughout the film.

  • Tobacco snuffing was popular during the 17th century and the practice declined during the following centuries.
